About the Project
On Being Human is a global series of letters, dialogues and declarations on what must remain fundamentally human, and be protected, in the age of AI. It is co-convened by the Global Centre for Rehumanising Democracy and The Aula Fellowship.
The series gathers commissioned essays — the Humanitas Letters — from people of faith, of science, of public life, of the arts, of care, and from the rising generation. Around them it curates a global response of public reflections, and carries the conversation into a webinar series and in-person gatherings.
The central question running through all of it is simple and unfinished: what must remain fundamentally human, and be protected, in the age of AI? We do not presume to answer it. We convene the people who ask it well.
