Boundary note
This note explains how generative AI was used in the making of this website.
What AI did
An AI coding assistant was used to generate the website template itself — the technical scaffolding only. That includes:
- the project configuration (Eleventy build setup,
package.json, SCSS pipeline, Pagefind search integration, pa11y accessibility validation setup); - the layout and partial templates (header, footer, SEO metadata partials, sitemap, JSON-LD schema markup);
- the directory and template pages (letters directory, author pages, events listing, event pages) as page structures;
- the sample (placeholder) entries used only to demonstrate the templates: the sample authors, letters, events, and team members.
What AI did not do
- AI did not write any of the real content of this project: no letters, no testimony, no story submitted by contributors was generated or edited by AI.
- The concept note represents the project's own thinking.
- Human-written content here is limited to boilerplate — standard navigation labels ("Letters", "About", "Search"), the copyright notice, search form placeholder text, and HTML semantic attributes — plus the templating structure that hosts author contributions.
Stand on content
Text published under "Letters" on this website is, and always will be, written and owned by the humans who submitted it.
